If you know that 1 Mercury day is 58 Earth days, and 1 Mercury year is 88 Earth days, you may think that if you can stay on Mercury, you would be able to see a full sunrise and sunset within 58 Earth days right? Well yes, but actually no. The difference between sunrise and sunrise in Mercury takes a longer time than its year, that’s around 176 Earth days! Why? Take a look at the picture below… (sorry for the terrible quality)

So if you are standing at that position above, you may need to wait from the Mercury position 1 to Mercury position 1 again to see another sunrise.
